about me

Growing up, my favorite genres were narratives and coming of age stories. These genres never failed to leave me feeling fulfilled and inspired. As I ventured more into journalism through my classes, I discovered that the true essence of putting the“journal” in journalism lies in transforming hard news stories into compelling narratives about people and events that touch the very essence of our souls. The concept of “touching souls” has been a revelation for me, illuminating the profound beauty of humanity. This realization struck me not only in the realm of general documentaries and news features but also through in-depth reporting. Witnessing the impact of soulful storytelling, I found parallels in the work of iconic figures like Oprah Winfrey, whose career as a talk show host was underscored by her ability to foster connection and inspiration — an essence that, to me, defines journalism. Beyond hard news, my journalistic interests extend to programs like “60 Minutes”, “Sunday Morning CBS”, and even the quintessential evening news broadcasts – each of them resonates with me in their unique ways. For me, journalism is an art form that I am committed to pursuing throughout my lifetime. Ultimately, my journey in journalism is fueled by the belief that every story, regardless of its nature has the potential to deeply touch lives and create lasting connections. I look forward to contributing to this transformative power for years to come.
